You're exactly right David. Your zeal is encouraging!

I tell my wife that Jesus wants a closer and even more REAL of a relationship with Him than I do with her. And reading the scripture, I find it's true!

Jesus said it was more expedient for Him to not be here on the physical earth. That it was better that He goes so that He could send the Holy Spirit. He was saying this to the 12 disciples who walked with Him day in, day out. How can you really fathom that Jesus says that the disciples would in fact have a better relationship with Him after He was gone physically!? It's nuts.

But you're right, it all comes down to communication. If we had a marriage relationship that mirrored our relationship with Jesus, it'd be a mess. You can have a real and intimate relationship with someone you talk to 15 minutes a day (IF THAT!)

How much, actual, real "sit down" time do we spend with our Lord? I know I need to do better...getting this world system off my back is step 1!
