C2D Upgrade

Yep, C2D went down yesterday. Sorry, it wasn’t very professional of me :)

Anyway, the whole thing started when I tried upgrading this site to the newest version, (yes, I didn’t code the whole thing...). So I was able to successfully..however some of the mods I have were not compatible with the new version! So, thankfully I make DB Backups often and was (after many hours) able to restore a copy of the database! Then today I restored a file system backup I had also made. So, the moral of the story is to check your mods before you move a system.

After all this I watched an "A" (Adult) rated movie called Jamaica Inn. It was a black & white mystery/horror(?) movie from like 1940(?). Since you couldn’t actually see if someone was being killed or not (you could only tell from the sudden volume spike in the 2-bit sound) I overlooked the "A" rating. (Also, the fact that someone committing suicide constituted jumping half-way off a ship’s mast and then stopping the movie to throw a scare-crow the rest of the way tells you something.)

But hey, it is still cleaner entertainment than the garbage all over the T.V. now…

Color Websites Resources

Color is a very important aspect of any web site. A website that has the best content won't matter if the user cannot read it. Here is my list of favorite websites to help aid in the quest of the perfect color scheme.

College and Movies

So, it’s that time of year again; back to school or back to work. (Unless you’re like me and you don’t have a life - then it is back to school, work, and web design.) Anyway, yesterday my brother and I went back to Eastfield (after taking last semester off) to register for 3 classes each. Rob took three boring general Ed. classes and I got all the fun ones - AutoCAD, Solid Works, and Intermediate Weight Training! (Note: yes, my bro is more responsible than me; so regular work doesn’t scare him. Ugh, I hate English…lol)

The World is Crucified unto Me

Quote:
As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world died long ago, and the world's interest in me is also long dead. It doesn't make any difference now whether we've been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we really have been changed into new and different people. May God's mercy and peace be upon all those who live by this principle. They are the new people of God. - Galatians 6:14-16

How to destroy America using your tax money

Quote:
The American Civil Liberties Union is engaged in a long-term, relentless and well-funded campaign to remove every vestige of Christian expression from America's government, schools and public property.

America the Beautiful

Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem he wrote. It's below his picture.

Do you know the power you have in Christ!?

Quote:
How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure.
